Vocabulary

Break vs. Rest
— “break” is when you take a short time to rest during work
e.g. I’m going to take a quick break before finishing this paper.
— “rest” is a verb
e.g. I need to rest for a few minutes before running any more.

Traffic Jam – when there are too many cars on one part of a road
e.g. There was a traffic jam at Panyu Road and Yan’an Road.

Metro/Subway – trains that run underground, 地铁

visa – a card that can let you go to another country.
eg. I need to get a visa if I want to go to Japan

Grammar

Sentence order:
English – Subject + Verb + Object + Extra information (with who, when, where, etc.)
Chinese – 主语 + (哪儿,跟谁,etc.)  + 动词 + 宾语

从(时间)到(时间) = from (time) to/until (time)

— “L” is about putting your tongue behind your teeth, on the round part
