I am Hayley and I am doing marketing job for events and boutique activation in the luxury and cosmetic industry and I came to here to improve my speaking English because it is quite weak.
I am afraid to speak out because I am not confidence but if you give me more time I can write.
When the new product launch like VIP client dinner.
I take care of the overall plan.
all the emails is English and when we need to conf call with our global team and the ppt all is English.
But the clients are all Chinese.
Reporting in English.
when our global came to here to attend the event but not now due to cover 19.

writing is basically ok.
during the conference call maybe there is 5 to 10 mins to present but usually I need 1-2 days to prepare. update the status and maybe there are some questions and need our feedback.
I am a quite shy girl and I love tv game shows.
Actually my major is design. in my first job it is designer in the marketing team then I can approach many marketing related jobs and eventually I think I am not good at design so I now do events.
I think it is quite amazing, from 0 to 1. from the general idea to the realization.

the overall path is similar but it relates to many different functions or departments because it is government related event.
the check in process may be stricter
Before the event we need to check the venue and after that we brief our agency to come up with a set up plan.
Maybe the budget is high enough to use the set up only once.

Sometimes I speak English during the event when the global team / team from HQ comes here to attend the event but not now/currently due to covid 19. / due to the pandemic.
