Hyperbolic – using hyperbole; exaggerating.

eg: His hyperbolic statements about poor sales trends had investors worried.

Nebulous – hazy, vague, indistinct, or confused

eg: A business plan as nebulous as this one should’ve never gotten off the ground.

Predictable – expected, especially on the basis of previous or known behavior

eg: While usually predictable, the management surprised everyone with a huge holiday bonus.

Mitigate – to make less severe, less damaging or harmful

eg: The construction style of the building mitigated the damage caused by the recent earthquake. But that still doesn’t make the building earthquake-proof.
